Heretic

Don’t get it twisted: Scott Beck and Bryan Woods’s Heretic is a film about the Patriarchy.

Masterful performances, perfect direction, glamorous cinematography—this is art-house horror at its finest. It leans so heavily into symbology it becomes a symbol itself, and that goes on to excuse most of what you think you’re watching. This is smart cinema for smart people.

Don’t worry if you find Mr. Read’s breakdown of religion unsettling. He is mad, after all.
